I am a PhD student working under Susan Beck at the University of Arizona. My research uses receiver function modeling to study the tectonic evolution and current state of the Andes within the TANGO project. Primarily I am interested in orogenic evolution at subduction zones, and what processes/factors control the development of the largest features on our planet. Subduction zones are essential to many facets of geology; from mineral exploration to climate, and understanding how they change promotes growth in these disciplines and their industry affiliations.
