Application for Funding for Undergraduate Students in the Department of Geosciences
The Department of Geosciences is pleased to be able to provide financial assistance for educational activities that take place outside of a classroom setting. For example, participating in a research project, being involved in an internship, taking a short course/workshop, attending a conference, going on a field trip, collecting/rocks/minerals/fossils, helping with an outreach activity, etc....
If you are involved in any of these types of activities, we may be able to provide funding to help cover the costs. Reasonable expenses might include travel, lodging, conference registration, acquiring tools/supplies, or conducting analyses. If you would like to apply or have any questions, please reach out to Graduate Advisor Rocina Garcia or Professor Jessica Kapp.
Please limit your request to items that you really need, with a max of $1000, so that we can support as many requests as possible.
Hints:
-
Please make your request look professional
-
Feel free to include photos or diagrams in your project description
-
Seek assistance from your faculty advisor/mentor/instructor
