About the Antevs Library |
|
The Antevs Library provides library services for the students, staff, and faculty of the Department of Geosciences, and for university, industry, and government scientists. The Antevs Library was founded in 1974 through an endowment from the estate of Ernst V. Antevs and generous donations of several other persons. The endowment is restricted to the support of the Library. In about 1976, the Department of Geosciences created a permanent position of Librarian, which was occupied by Ms. Elizabeth O'Leary before her retirement in 2002. Currently, the library is staffed by work study students, and sometimes by SESS club member or Grad Student volunteers. We are always grateful for donations of books and journals. |
