of stations. Photo by Sue Beck.

George Zandt and Javier Paredes servicing station Liti
in Chile along the northern line of stations. We think
that goats may have put the station out of commission for
a while. What do goats look like on a seismogram?

Javier peeks out of the pit housing the seismometer at
station Liti. The Andes stand on the horizon to the east.

resort is just up the valley. Photo courtesy of Sue Beck.

View across the glacial valley Maipu of gorgeous flatirons
of layered sediments. Rumor has it that Darwin spent some
time looking at these outcrops during his time in South
America.

Looking east up the Maipu valley you can barely make out
the volcano against a background of the high Andes.

Patricia Alvarado services station LLAN in northern Argentina,
which we set up in an INPRES vault.
