Kinematic history of the Cordilleran thrust belt and foreland basin system, western USA

The Cordilleran thrust belt in the western interior USA and southern Canada is the best documented example of a retroarc orogenic system, complete with a spectacular foreland basin system that developed from Late Jurassic through Paleocene time. We are currently working on the following topics:
