I-10 north from Tucson 57.5 miles
I-8 west to Yuma 261.7 miles
IMPERIAL HWY CR-S2 exit north Northwest about 48 miles to highway 78 at Scissors Crossing -- Sentenac Cienega will be on your right. (Grand Total ~ 6 hours)

We probably will stop for lunch in El Centro.

The afternoon of October 9, we will have dinner at a pizza place in Julian, west of Sentenac on highway 78.

That evening, we will stay with

We will sleep on Jared's lawn and in his house. We will decide who does what as far as the sleeping arrangements are concerned, but we all will need camping equipment and snacks. We will return to the Cienega Sunday morning and take more sediment, if needed.

Depart by noon for Tucson.
