Persistent Solar Influence on North Atlantic Climate During the Holocene.

A close correlation exists between the production rates of the
cosmogenic nuclides C14 and Be10 and
changes in drift ice sediment in deep-sea cores.
Solar forcing may underlie the "1500-year" cycle. Surface hydrographic changes may
affect North Atlantic Deep Water production.

We suggest a 900-yr climate cycle probably triggered by negative salinity anomalies in the North Atlantic.
Two such triggering events centered at ~8.3 and 4.7 ky BP are noted.
