Barbara Carrapa Awarded Grant

Associate Professor of Geosciences Barbara Carrapa has been awarded a new grant from the National Geographic Society to work on the uplift history of Cerro Aconcagua (6962 m) in Argentina and its implications for Andean mountain building. PhD student Elizabeth Balgord and colleagues will be in the Aconcagua region doing fieldwork in January and February 2015.
