Located in the basin and range province near the Colorado Plateau, the southern Rocky Mountains, and the Gulf of California, Tucson offers a remarkable natural setting for field studies.

The Department of Geosciences is located in the Gould-Simpson building on the ground floor at 1040 East 4th Street on the University of Arizona campus in Tucson.
