Luke Danielson

Luke has a degree in economics from Antioch College and Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.  He has practiced law with several firms in the Denver area before founding Gersh and Danielson in Denver focusing on environmental, energy, and natural resources law.  Luke taught at the University of Chile while on a Fulbright Fellowship and organized the First International Congress on International Law at the University of Chile.  He then moved to Uruguay and founded the Mining Policy Research Initiative involving 23 Latin American and Caribbean nations.  He was hired as Director of the Mining, Minerals, and Sustainable Development project through the London-based International Institute for Environment and Development.  The MMSD project was the largest research project ever undertaken on social, economic, and environmental impact of mining worldwide.  Luke founded the Sustainable Development Strategies Group and consults for global companies and governments on sustainable development, environment, and natural resources law.
