Christopher C. Curfman
Christopher C. Curfman is vice president of
the Mining & Quarry
Products Division of Caterpillar Inc. He has responsibility for Caterpillar's
global mining and quarry products, which include Large Track-Type
Tractors (D9-D11), Large Mining Trucks (777-797), Underground Mining
Products, Large Wheel Loaders (988-994), Dozers & Compactors,
and Articulated Trucks.
Curfman began his career as a salesman for
the Cat dealer in Oxnard, Calif. He went on to a 15-year international career at Deere & Company
attaining the role President/General Manager of Equipment Remarketing
Services.
Curfman joined Caterpillar in 1994, serving as the rental and used
equipment/attachment manager for North America. In 1999, Curfman
became the managing director of Caterpillar of Australia Ltd., based
in Melbourne. In 2001, he became managing director of Marketing for
Caterpillar's Asia-Pacific Division at its headquarters in Singapore.
In 2004, Curfman became Vice President of the Global Mining Division.
He assumed his current position in June 2010.
Curfman is a graduate of Northwestern University. He completed certificate
programs in accounting and finance from the Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania, a three-year Executive Program at Louisiana
State University and the Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate
School of Business.
