I recently retired after more than 40 years of public service in the management and stewardship of public land and mineral resources (some 8 years with the Conservation Division of the USGS and 35 years with the BLM), including my most recent work as Manager of the Renewable Energy Program in the BLM National Office in Washington, DC. This work was significantly important in helping to facilitate the development of wind, solar, and geothermal renewable energy resources on the public lands in response to national goals established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the administration’s New Energy for America initiative.
