About myself/ My goals for NSC 105:		My name is Ariel Ochoa, I am a third yeard student here at the University of Arizona pursuing a degree in the field of political science. I was born and raised a short sixty miles from here in Nogales, AZ. My interests are varied and span the entire spectrum of life, words which would also serve to characterize my life experiences. I stem from a very small town, something of which I am not ashamed of but to the contrary quite proud of. I like to think of my time here as the transition from the beginnings that I learned there to the better things that life has awaitnig for me. I am fervently interested in the political happenings not only of this state but of the nation as a whole. I have already lived and worked in Phoenix and Washington in my short span of political involvement and therefore find this interest to be an inextricable part of who I am. I am not however your run of the mill "politico", I have concerns and worries that I carry with me, things which I wish to target my studies and efforts at, at some given time in the future. One of which is the welfare of our environment. That is where this class plays in, for though I understand the class is not aimed at adressing these problems in particular, it will however provide me with the fundamentals of the world around me, besides that it quite fittingly fullfills my last general education requirement.
