General Paleoenvironmental Science
The laboratory is also interested in efforts to synthesize data and information across major paleoenvironmental areas and to work toward more effective uses of paleoenvironmental “perspectives” by a broad range of people. We have a weekly paleo discussion and an annual seminar to help keep ourselves cognizant of recent developments in the discipline. In a nutshell, a paleoperspective is essential for: • understanding
the full range of environmental variability Please
note that our focus is on all aspects of the climate system: the atmosphere,
oceans,
cryosphere, biosphere, and lithosphere. This topic relates to all other research foci (back to main research page). See other research foci and the below references.
