Field Trip Information

Logistics of Field Trips

1. Meet at NORTH entrance to Gould/Simpson Building on Fourth St. (10-story building north of the Biosciences West Building) @ 7:50 AM. Vans will depart @8:00 AM (no kidding).
    
2. Clothing/boots
   1. Warm clothes; layered for changing temperature during the day.
   2. Rain coat.
   3. Walking/hiking boots; high top preferred.
   4. Hat, both for shade and warmth.
       
3. Drinking water - bring a container with at least one quart of water.
    
4. Lunch
   1. Brown bag lunch.
   2. Ice chest in one vehicle, but limited capacity.
       
5. Let us know about any health/physical limitations.
    
6. Sunscreen! Tucson is the skin cancer capital of the world!
    
7. Notebook, spiral variety is best; pencils (colored if you wish).
    
8. Optional
   1. Geologic hammer
   2. Hand lens
   3. Binoculars
   4. Camera
