ANNOUNCEMENTS
Welcome to GEOS 342, Fall 2009
GEOS342 is a core course for undergraduate students in the new Earth Systems Science Track of the Geosciences Major. GEOS 342 introduces students to the evolution and dynamics of Earth reservoirs, from the solid Earth to the oceans and atmosphere, with an emphasis on geochemical approaches. This class provides both historical and Earth systems perspectives, and provides training in simple quantitative analysis and modeling of Earth systems.

Prerequisites, some of which may be taken concurrently include GEOS 251 (Physical Geology), and CHEM 103ab/104ab and MATH 124 or 125, or equivalents.
