The only naturally occurring liquids at surface temperatures on Earth are water and various types of oils. Oils are long chains or rings of molecules made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, and lesser amounts of nitrogen, phosphorous, and sulphur. Oils are organic-derived from (if not made by) life.
